I knew I should have been doing it the whole time. I avoided it because it took too much time, I had other (less important) things to be doing, blah blah blah. And now, here I am with a computer that is gong to crash, me with wells of tears at the thought of loosing all of my most precious pictures and videos of my kids. When I close my eyes, that eerie "blue screen of death" haunts me. No, I don't have all of them backed. I am going out today to by an external hard drive to dry and dump all of my information. Don't do what I did.
Hence, I cannot post pictures for a while. Until our laptop is fixed (I am writing from our other crummier laptop which was resurrected from death, and no longer used to hold large files), or we get a third computer in 4 years.
Just for my own memory's sake:
- Tuesday Joe Joe pulled himself up onto the toy box, then with jelly legs came crashing down and bit his tongue.
- We went to the zoo yesterday, and we had so much fun! Sadie loved the elephants and monkeys the best and fed birds popcorn. Joe Joe hung out in the bjorn.
- Sadie is exploding with language and understanding complex sentences. She loves to sing, and even as I write this, she is upstairs singing, " DO, RE, ME!" She has quite the repertoire which includes: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (dubbed Fwinkle Fwinkle), Happy Birthday, The Abc's, Old Mac Donald, This Old Man, I am a Child of God, and a whole list of made up tunes.
- Sadie calls her brother "Doe-Doe" or "Yiddle Brudder"
- With an arm in waving motion Sadie says, "Tome on, momma"
- She uses the terms "daddy-bit" to talk about a lot of something, or "baby-bit" for a little of something. "I want to swing a daddy-bit" means she wants a big push on the swings. To her frustration, that one took me a while to figure out. When she uses the terms, she squints, raises her eyebrows and holds out her fingers to show the amount. It is very entertaining.
