On the doorstep waiting to go in!
Ok, so maybe it isn't as monumental as getting on a bus and going to school for a full day (which my Sadie will do next year, but I don't want to talk about it), but it was still all the talk around our house for the past week.
I didn't realize that up until we left Sadie was under the impression she WAS going to get to ride on a bus. She took the bad news well.
We went school supply shopping on Monday (I love me the smell of new paper and crayons), Sadie picked a kitty folder, and Joe Joe chose a "How to Train Your Dragon" folder, and we gathered up all the standard school supplies. Tuesday, we sat with a permanent marker and wrote their names on all their pencils and glues and pencil box, and packed their little back packs.
Today, I dropped them off. We are in a co-op preschool group. That is, each mom (three of us, and 4 kids--half are mine) takes a turn two times a week for two weeks teaching, then we swap. Mostly, it will be centered on Joy School (my self and another mom will be teaching its curriculum. Click HERE if you want to know more about it), and the other third of the time another mommy wanted to present her own lesson plans.
They were so happy when they came home. Excited to show me what they made, and so excited to go back. I love LOVE that they can do this together. They are two kids who are very busy and need a project. I am so glad they have one and I have a set schedule for a while.
"I going to SKOO!!" My Joe Joe exclaims. He is so darn cute.
