How Does Your Garden Grow?

My little garden just outside my front door and kitchen window, tomatoes, a mix of flowers, and sunflowers--no one has sunflowers in our neighborhood but me!
My husband, who pays attention to details, remembered an off comment I made, and gave me a bag sunflower seeds to plant for mother's day. The whole row came from the same bag of seeds, and yet, each sunflower plant is unlike the others, still uniquely beautiful. Humm...perhaps this could be a metaphor for children...

This is what Sadie looks like when she eats dirt out of the garden, realizes it is not as good as it looks, and comes to me to have her tongue wiped off. Sometimes experience is the best teacher!
