Drum roll please!!

Friday was our anatomy ultrasound. As of that day, I was on the fence whether or not I wanted to know the sex of our baby. Even as we were called back, and the tech asked us if we wanted to know, I gave an unequivocal, "I'm not sure."

The tech said that was not a problem, and she would just go about her business with the other anatomy making sure all was well, then should we want to know at the end, she would take a peek. On she went...

She must have been so enthralled with the beauty of our creation, that she was not paying attention to the view used to look at said anatomy. She was using a bottom up angle (literally) to see, leaving for our viewing pleasure a nice open-leg shot. My always tactful Joe blurted, "I see a penis!"

Now, given the scribbles of the ultrasound, I thought it might have been the umbilical cord, until out tech verified, "Oh, well, I guess you won't have a choice whether or not to find out!"

What a great face shot! Nice little profile, not scary like the one we got. Ours looks like more like skeletor.

I can't type. I meant "ours looks more like skeletor." Minus the extra like.

I keep trying to picture a baby boy Witters, but it is really hard. I can't wait to see his cute little face! Will he look something like a boyish version of Sadie, or a little Joe maybe? No matter what he will be lucky to be part of your family.

Good thing they don't hold actual likeness of the babies. The tech never did get a good shot of his profile. She spent forever trying to get his perfect first (and hopefully only) mug shot. She kept complaining, "I just can't get his chin in there. I would rather send you home with a good picture than one that looks like a monkey." I don't know if it ever occurred to her that he may not have much of a chin. Sadie doesn't.
