I looked up to see this...
Said Sadie, "Mom, this is NOT ok. I need to sit TIME-OUT!"
"I think that is a good idea." I said.
And so she did.
See the black bag, it is my make up bag. She opened it, broke my bronzer and bronzed everything. Then put mascara on her lips.

I know that wasnt the cuteset thing for you......but I think that is pretty cute!!! I love that she knew she had crossed a line!! So fun that girls are into that stuff at a young age!!
So cute! i know it isnt fun to see that. Adriana got a hold of my mascara one day and she looked like Hitler! at least Sadie will put herself in time out! love your blog and all of your pics. your kids are absolutely adorable!
you're are such a good mom erin! you are so patient! if that had happened to me (and it will) i'm afraid i would have lost it. but since it's you and not me, i can see the humor and fun in it too. plus i think it's great you're getting all this recorded too. when they are older and causing other troubles, you can look back and wish they were in your makeup bag again instead.
For Days like this and the one right before this one I write: "CHOICE SPIRIT" with a black Sharpee on their foreheads. It usually helps the twitching and convulsions of trying to keep the anger in control. Okay, so not really, but one day I may have to. :) But I do say, through clenched teeth, "Mommy needs a little time-out too" and proceed to a quiet room where I can throw something. Preferably not a sippie cup. They explode. Anger Management 101.
I love the idea of a sharpie to the forehead. That would even things out a little bit I think. Great idea.
