THE FARMER FAMILY
No, not REAL Farmers, that is just their last name. With a last name like, "Farmer" we knew they were going to be cool. And they are. We met April and Tyler back in 2004, when Joe and I lived on 34th street in Georgetown , D.C., and they were in the same ward. We hit it off immediately, and have remained close since. Since those days, they have moved to St. Louis, had 2 kids, and we miss them terribly.

(Lincoln, their littlest)
Tyler had some business that brought him to D.C., so they all trucked out here for a visit. We swam, ate, chatted, laughed until we cried, and played referee with the kids. It was SO wonderful.

(Preston, busy and playful).

An impromptu family pic.

The love of my life.

Me and my boy.

My princess.

While visiting Lincoln, the clouds suddenly became VERY angry, opened up, and DUMPED rain. We had to wait it out under the cover of the monument along with throngs of tourists.
I took this just before the rainstorm. This is the view of the Washington Monument and reflection pool, if your back is turned to the Lincoln Monument, and you stand about where Martin Luther King delivered his, "I Have a Dream" speech. The Capitol is actually right next to the Washington Monument too, but it is hidden by my angle and clouds in this shot.
Joe and Joe Joe.
It is such a comfort to have friends from whom you can be apart for a time, then pick up right where you left off when you see each other again--no matter how long it has been. The Farmers are some of those friends to us.

I LOVE all these pics of your sweet family!
My favorite is the picture of you and Joe. What a great couple. Oh - seeing these pictures made me miss you guys terribly. I hope WHEN (not IF) we see you again, it will pick up just like it left off. But I'm pretty confidant that it will.
