At exactly one year, and eighteen months, I stopped nursing Joe Joe. He now gets a warm bottle of whole milk before bed, which he LOVES, calling it, "ba-ble."

It is always sad to stop--to admit or prove my baby's growing independence from his (and her--Sadie was sad, too) mama. So it should be.
It is just one step, I guess. I am a steward over my children, teaching, training, nurturing and supporting, but mostly encouraging them the best way I know-- helping them to fly.
It might be hard to spread your wings while nursing.

I love reading your blog. It just rings true every single time. The potty chair incident was too funny.
That is sweet :) I am secretly dreading the day that little Joey is done nursing. It is such a joy to me! I guess I'll just have to have lots of kids so that I can have the little ones for as long as possible :)
I know you're a bit sad, but you still have your cuddle time with him. You look great.
miss you... sigh...
