Trick-or-Treat!

Sadie was a dogie, Joe Joe chose to be Elmo, the same costume Sadie wore last year.
We opted to go to a neighborhood in Arlington to trick-or-treat, being told that it is the neighborhood with the good stuff.

Neither child really wanted to keep their hoods on. Sadie still looked like a doggie, but Joe Joe looked more like a fuzzy red clown if you just saw him from the neck up with out the Elmo hood on.

This was right at the end. He was pooped.

This was the first house we went to.

It turned out to be a great night, despite the RAIN. I couldn't take many pictures, afraid of soaking my camera. The neighborhood was great. It was like the movies, with GOBS of children in every costume imaginable running in every direction. They weren't afraid of getting wet, if there was candy involved. My kids never really said, "trick-or-treat" they just ran up to the door, helped themselves, and ran back. On more than one occasion, Joe Joe had to be stopped from making himself at home in other people's houses. Joe took them to most of the doors, I pushed the stroller and took a meager amount of pictures. I had one man ask me if I was dressed up as a mom for Halloween. I had to think about it for a second. Then it dawned on me I was pushing an empty stroller with a big pregnant belly. Har har.

There is one good thing about having a son with a peanut allergy: mom and dad get to eat all the good stuff.

Happy Halloween!
