Joseph.
He is about the funniest person I have ever met. Joe Joe is a man with a plan. Of late, he has decided that napping is for the birds, and though he is just 2, and NEEDS TO NAP, he won't most days. Plain and simple. He escapes his room and runs around the house (he runs on the balls of his feet when he is barefoot) laughing. I put him back. Again. And again. And again. There are some days I just can't fight because I have to feed Brynlee and he gets away with it. He likes those days best. He knows when I am detained, and he takes advantage. He is smart. I have started locking him in. It has backfired more than once. Last week, I heard him yelling, opened the door and a very naked boy streaked out, "I GO POTTY!" he yelled as he passed me. He had undressed and removed a very poopy diaper all on his own. He was even thoughtful enough to wad up the stinky load, and put it back with the clean diapers. Even more amusing, some "bits" had fallen out onto the carpet. Not surprisingly, he did just as he said he would, and went potty in the toilet.
I went to the store with the three of them last week. All I needed was milk. Just milk. He convinced me he could be trusted walking on his own, next to mama, holding on to the cart. I stopped to look at a pear, and in 2 seconds, lost him. I scanned the produce looking for him, calling for him from where I stood, and spotted him trotting back carrying a head of broccoli. A nice older woman commented, "at least he picks healthy food." At least indeed.
Joe Joe loves his bottle of warm milk. When you give it to him you have to be ready to catch him, because he immediately does a 180, and leans back expecting you to catch him and carry him to bed baby style. I haven't missed... yet. When he is done with said bottle, he cracks open his door, and a little twiggy arm with over sized hands releases the bottle into the hall. Then the door closes.
He gets very emotionally involved with movies. He will shout at, laugh or scream along with a show. He will even charge the TV and hit or bark or laugh at what is happening. "OH NO!!" Is common phrase shouted. He is more fun to watch than the show.
Love that kid. He is one soul that enjoys mortality, fully and completely. He makes it more beautiful for me.

What a nutty boy! He definitely is his own person. Can't wait to see what that translates in to when he grows up. Hope he can keep that hunger for fun and keeping life interesting.
