Dear Best Friend,

Seven years. Seven years.

We have had 1 dog, lived in 6 different houses in 3 different states (if you call D.C. a state), owned 4 cars, finished our degrees, you with a Master's, brought three perfect spirits to earth and created their bodies, have had to let go of family members until we see them again on the other side, been very sick, have been blessed with health, been dirt poor (been? HA), all hand-in-hand.

When we were sealed, our sealer didn't have much to say. He recounted that he didn't remember much of his own sealing, but not long before he sealed us, he had witnessed a sealing performed by President Hinkley, who declared it the most important day in the couple's life. He touched on the scripture in Ecclesiastes which says, "two are better than one..." and how we must lift one another when we fall. We knelt across the altar, and there went from being two, to one. Completely equal. One priesthood unit, sealed for time and all eternity.

We knew when we met that we were a good fit. Uncanny is our compatibility. I KNEW I could marry you and spend all my life, from here unto forever with you, and be so happy.

We have done much in seven years. Best of all, and a keystone to our joy and success as a couple, is the conscious decision to grow as a unit. To continue to be, "one," to develop loving unity, and make sure that what ever we did, we did it together, fully and completely supportive of each other. Always, hand-in-hand.
When I told you I would marry you, I believe my exact words were conditionary, "If you PROMISE to do all you can to take my family home." Seven years has taught me, if we do anything, it takes two. Two are better than one. What prophetic words from a sealer seven years ago today.

I love you.
