(Pie I made. Yes, you have my permission to be AMAZED at how STUNNING it is. Ok. I can't lie. I had planned on peeling the leaves out of the chocolate and having pretty white chocolate leaf molds on my pie, as I had done the year previous. HOWEVER, I forgot that I needed to use smaller and hardier leaves than the ones from my front-yard oak. These leaves are too brittle and detailed and don't hold the chocolate well. The chocolate shattered as I tried to peel them out. So, I left them. And proceeded to pile them on the pie. I pretended like I mean to do it, "HAHAHA! Yes! Thank you! It is lovely isn't it?" It will just be our little secret...)
Genius. Thanksgiving is GENIUS I tell you!! I love getting together and eating and being full and happy and sleepy and oh SO thankful. And full.
But mostly thankful.
Thank you to my husband for taking this VERY FLATTERING picture of me as I danced like a ballerina during our game of, "Quelf." Never heard of it? Take my word and go buy it NOW. Best. Game. Ever.
Happy first Thanksgiving, Little Pants!
Fantastic turkey prepared by the hostess. Well worth the wait (we didn't eat until nearly 7pm).
10 things that I am thankful for:
1. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints. With out that foundation for my life, all the rest of the things that I hold most dear would not be possible, or, would be lost after the grave. My heaven could never be a heaven without my family.
2. Joe.
3. Sadie.
4. Joe Joe
5. Brynlee.
6. The rest of my family and friends (ok, I cheated).
6. Blankets just out of the dryer.
7. Wet open-mouthed kisses from my baby.
8. That my son can run and jump and play.
9. Wet open mouth kisses from my hubbs.
10. The ritual of painting nails when Sadie is out of the tub.
Full of food. Full of Joy.
Happy Thanksgiving!!
