Out of Touch

We bought a new computer, a nice imac. There is a problem: it is NOT a laptop, and living upstairs in my room where Joe Joe naps. The best time to blog is when the kids are asleep--and they are currently in a state of slumber... Hence, my dilemma.

There is so much to talk about, my mind is swimming. When I have too much to do, the best solution is to make a list. Enjoy the bulleted version of the blog post (sans pictures until Joe Joe is awake). I am guessing as there are not pictures, most of you wouldn't have read this far anyway. No problem, it is for my memory more than your entertainment.

-We bought a "new" car. 2006 Honda Pilot. Black. Seats 8. A moment of silence please for my Blazer. Thanks.
-I am knee deep in paining my house, from top to bottom. HUGE undertaking, I may be undertaken when it is over. As a result, my home is upside down and inside out. No people outside those who live here are allowed to enter into the door. Yikes.
-Sadie has a few new things she has added to her vocabulary, "That makes me HAPPY!" a very useful phrase when she is getting something unexpected, or used to express gratitude for every day happy happenings. She applies liberally, and yes, it makes me happy. Also the insert of "...cuz" into EVERY sentence has made for great conversation. "Mama, I need to sit in the chair CUZ I a big girl" or my personal favorite "I washing Joe Joe right now CUZ I need to." "Cuz" helps to explain everything with out saying anything in particular. Very useful for a three-year-old.
-Joe Joe on the other hand over uses the word, "OWIE." Ie: "Owie" sister just hit me, "owie" I just fell down for the 15th time today and scraped off my just clotted scabs, "owie" I need more yogurt, "owie" I am stuck. Also useful. He has also learned to escape from his pack-and-play. I don't need to worry about getting him after nap, he just gets up himself. His latest kick is to push the dolly stroller every chance he gets. Push, push, push. That is all he wants to do. He can say "up" and "please" if "owie" isn't working for him.
-Our best friends moved away. The Giles are off the Iowa to find their fortune, and though we are so happy for their family, I am so sad for us (you can almost her little Joe Joe's "OWIE"). Expect a picture and a post for them later.
-Joe has started going into work early--REALLY early. He tries to BE at the State Department by 7, and with an hour commute a la public transportation... well, lets just say it is a good thing he is the bread winner and not me. We wouldn't eat, but I would be well rested.

I may reopen this post and add as things come to me. I can hear Joe Joe sliding down the stairs, and that signals the end of my computing.
