I swore up and down I would not be that mom who did things differently for the first as I did for the second... or the third...
poor fourth who ever that will be.
With the last 2 pregnancies I religiously took pictures once a month of my progression. Apparently, with this poor soul, I am 4 moths behind.
Finally, at nearly 18 weeks, we took a picture**. Really, it wasn't that I didn't want the picture taken, the problem was things have been abnormally busy for the Witters during the beginning of this pregnancy, and things have been pushed to the back burner, myself included. I hadn't had a haircut since my summer cut (of last year which was a nice a-line bob) so my hair had grown out very uneven, and lived in a mangy ponytail. To make matters worse, or to further hamper my desire to stand in front of a camera, I hadn't had time to see an eye doctor, and my contacts has shriveled up and disintegrated. Glasses. Even better. My appearance brought to light another mom thing I swore I would never do. Sigh.
Saturday was MY day. I got a haircut (a pretty bad one, I had to tell the "stylist" it was crooked in the back), and a trial pair of contacts.
Sunday I stood on the other side of the lens to try and catch myself up.
Although it appears that with Sadie, I would take a pregnancy picture on the given date no matter WHAT I looked like. Yikes...
I am actually 19 weeks pregnant with Sadie as seen above,
and Joe Joe.
Those were the closest weeks I could find to compare to this pregnancy. I wrote on the photo to keep it all straight. Although, I can just look at the background and know who it is. All three kids will have been brought home to different houses.
I seem to be carrying a little lower this time around than I did with Joe Joe. Any indication of the gender? I don't know. According to the Vietnamese women who wax my eye brows (yes JUST my eyebrows), I am carrying a girl. They did a full hands on examination of the fat deposits on my sides and announced that meant a girl.
And all this time I thought those rolls were thanks to my newly developed close relationship with Nutella.
**That picture should say, "4 days." Despite my poor personal maintenance these days, I do make a conscious effort to at least change my clothes every day.

You make me laugh! Just because you do things different doesn't mean you love your third or fourth any less. And you, I know, have infinite amount of love to give to all your children. I often think, "Poor Matthew, he's the experiment child." There's a reason he's such a good boy and it's because he's the first. Also, my last will be special for the reason that he/she will not have had maybe the special things the first did (i.e. pictures at each month of pregnancy), but he/she might have more privileges because undoubtedly parents relax more by their last child. It just happens.
Anyway, just randomly writing. I think you look great!!!
You look great, cute pictures.
so funny! I can relate! and cute haircut by the way (and yay for contacts too!) but I agree with comment #1 there are advantages for being later on down the line as opposed to #1 baby too :)
oh erin...I miss you tons! : ) You look beautiful in all these pictures, and third, fourth, or tenth, I know there is a HUGE line in heaven of little ones who are soooo eager to have a mommy like you!
i just barely started showing so i haven't even thought of taking pics yet! i'd better get on that. of course my "showing" only looks like an impressive beer gut, but... i've been so bad about documenting everything about pregnancy, birth etc. i should do better... love you guys!
"I just barely started showing..."
Stacey? Are you trying to rub it in? I was showing at 6 weeks like I was 4 months along. Now that I am almost 5, I am a little nervous for month 9.
Impressively, my butt has actually grown at a much faster pace than my "beer gut" as it were.
We love you guys more!!
You are so cute with that pregnant belly!
No one should look that good with baby three at any month! Nutella is my best friend too. In Cambodia I had three crepes one morning with nutella and peanut butter. Man was that good! Miss you and your sprinkles!
