Helmet

Really this post should be titled, "Learning to ride a bike-- for the first time!"

But who can ignore the cuteness I can almost taste like cotton candy looking at those kids in their helmets!

Sadie and Joe Joe went out with Daddy yesterday to test drive their helmets... er bikes.

There were moments of frustration:

and great success as Sadie learned to petal.

Joe Joe didn't really do much. Sadie would ride ahead, and he would patiently wait on his trike. Then Daddy would run back and push him up to where sissy was.

When we initially bought the helmets, Joe Joe insisted on wearing his in the store. He LOVES it. May as well wear it as much as he wants-- that kid bonks his head no less than 15 times a day. It could only help.

When it was time to go inside, Sadie climbed off her bike and marched to the door, victory in her eyes, and with one arm swinging in confidence and triumph remarked, "I wanna do that AGAIN!"
