Picking apples is actually what we did first...

Sitting on the apple pole, trying to catch a ride. (And Joe Joe is eating rotten apples off the ground).
I would pick, and then the kids would get the spoils from the basket, and put it in our bags. Well, "toss" may be a better term. I imagine a bunch of bruises will appear on our apples.
Picking red apples. I think we got 4 different kids of apples in all.
