Family!

How great to have company in your home. But not just "company"-- that sounds too formal-- FAMILY. My older sister and her family drove to dine with us. And how. I cooked up a storm. They were going to leave and drive on Sunday (arriving Thanksgiving day) all the way back home, a straight 14 hours. I jokingly said, "you should send your hubby home on a plane and stay for a while."

What do you know? It worked. I am going to ask for absurd things more often, and see if I get what I want.

How I LOVE having my Nikki here with her son, and dog, and hubbs (while we did). The kids are having a blast. Sadie and Enoch get along the best of the cousins. Joe Joe... well... he kind of picks on Enoch. He full out body tacked him in the mall cafeteria the other day. Had Enoch by the ankles and all, when Enoch came crashing down on the tile floor. Don't get me wrong, he loves him, and plays with him, but my boy is ALL BOY, very rough and tumble. He has had an older sibling too. That has conditioned him quite a bit.

I was SO so SOOO happy Nikki asked me to take some pics. We tried on Friday in D.C. but it was freezing, Enoch was too tired, and to top it off, he fell while trying to keep his little frozen hands in his pockets and busted his lip. That photo shoot was a FLOP to say the least.

We ran out Sunday before Jeff had to catch a plane to try again. The weather was nice, Enoch had a good night sleep, and despite the bloodied lip (which Nikki said she can Photoshop-- a program I don't have) I was tickled with the results. Photographing a 2 year-old and a lab came with its own challenges. These are some random shots I am posting. There were so many great ones to choose from, I had a hard time picking a sample. Honestly, it is almost midnight here, I am super tired, so I am not even picking all the best ones. I am just posting some so you can see, I can have a record, and I can get to bed. I hope Nikki stays FOREVER.

Sorry Jeff.
