Can I just tell you a little about my daughter?
She has to be the most pure hearted, sweet spirited little person I have ever met. She is so kind, and so patient. At three-years-old, she is so sensitive to the energy of those around her, and what is happening at that time. She can tell immediately if there is something bothering me, even if I haven't said a thing. More than that, she searches for something to do to help. She gives kisses ALL THE TIME, and any place she happens to be standing that she can reach. This has made for some awkward smooches in public given her height, but I never say a word. She puckers in such an exaggerated way it makes me laugh. Often, her little brown eyes will roll back and flutter behind closed curly lashes. Sometime I am going to have to snag a picture of that.
I have a bit (understatement) of sciatica this pregnancy, and often, I can hardly walk. Sadie came over to me with little pink shoes on her hands and told me she was a doctor. She then placed them on my leg and announced that I would soon feel better. You know, I did. She tells me that, "mom, it will be better soon. You will be ok."
Yesterday, during a rather frantic breakfast, the kids were firing requests at me a little quicker than I could respond, and in frustration I said in a really impatient voice, "WHAT SADIE? NOW WHAT DO YOU NEED? MOMMY CAN ONLY DO ONE THING AT A TIME!"
Her countenance shrank.
Her lip quivered.
"Mom, I too sorry I trouble to you. I sad when you angy at me."
My heart broke. I have never told her she was trouble. NEVER. I don't know where she got it.
I ran over and gave her a hug and told her how much I loved her and that I was happy to do things for her. Just one thing at a time, please. Humbled.
She is a little mommy, and has no problem telling Joe Joe what he should be doing, or giving me a play-by-play on what he is up to. When he retaliates and whacks her, it is a rare occasion for her to fight back. He is pretty lucky she doesn't clobber him more often. Instead, she comes to me with tears and tells me what he did. We are working on using words to tell him that she doesn't like what he did, and why.
My favorite sayings of hers right now are:
"Oh sure! I love to do that! No prob-wem, momma!"
"You lelcome!"
"That makes me TOO happy!"
"We're going on AVENTURE!"
She loves to dance, and is so cute strutting around and kicking back her legs.
Sadie is also my canary. She sings all day long, and makes up little songs about everything--tune and all.
And she jumps. A lot. When she is happy, usually accompanied with clapping hands.
Joy.

We love Sadie. I'm glad she's such a good influence on my kids too.
