Poor guy. If I were a little boy, and had to cry myself to sleep, and was forced to find comfort in my sissy's crummy doll, or my lion, I may make the same choice, too.
Don't worry, buddy. Your birthday and Christmas are right around the corner, and you have been a good boy this year. We may see an increase in toys for you (and, as I promised when you were born, we won't try to give you two-for gifts).
