Keeping up with Joe Joe

It is no easy task wrangling this little busy gap-toothed fella. Recently, I went to the temple and left the kids with a friend. Upon our return, my friend (who has a little boy herself, and so, I assumed experienced the same thing I do with a boy) said, "you didn't tell me that he was such a climber. I mean, he is really NIMBLE. My daughter who is two just learned how to climb up the couch, and he just scurried right up it..."

Whoops. Note to self: remind those innocent enough to take on my kids that A: Joe Joe tries to get on top of any surface higher than he is (and usually does, or conks his head trying) and B: Sadie has developed a new habit of just holding food in her mouth...for hours. Explanation: When Joe and I walked in the door to pick Monkey-boy and his sister up, Sadie immediately spat a blob of unrecognizable spitty goop into her dad's hand, and proceeded to talk up a storm. Said friend (a little embarrassed), "Was that in there the whole time?? I just thought she wasn't talking because she was a quiet kid."

Following is a short display of the activities of my son. I would like to call it:

"Joe Joe be nimble, Joe Joe be quick, Joe Joe..."

Pushes the buttons on the computer. His skinny little fingers have picked off the shift key, and the space bar quite a few times.

Climbs the picnic table. He climbs up there 20 times a day. I pull him off more than fifteen times a day (the other ten times he just falls off--rolls over and climbs right back up the "horse").
