One day this week, when I woke up, the sun was out and as though I had been suffering from SAD (seasonal affective disorder), I brightened up too. I have been feeling so blue and drained of late, it was so nice to get out from under winter's shadow. I opened all the windows along with the back door to turn the kids loose in our "yard." I am so glad it redid it, and we can use the space for days like this one.

I heard Sadie call me, "Mama I have to show you sun-tin!" I came upon her on her back looking up into the sky. "The clouds are moving!" What a discovery for a two-year-old! I was so happy to be able to share a such an epiphany with her--one when she saw outside herself, and for a moment, had a glimpse of the magnitude of the world, as it moved around her. She just lay there and watched for a while, pointing and talking to the sky.
Joe Joe on the other hand was consumed with the trike. He didn't care if it moved, he just wanted to sit on it. Not as profound as the moment his sister had, but just as sweet. He learned how to climb on it himself.

What a cool discovery to be part of! And it's really not so hard to imagine Joe Joe grinning ear to ear while climbing on anything! Sunshine does a body good!
How special that she discovered that on her own! That's so sweet. Your kids are darling. I hope you and Joe are doing well. I haven't been blog-hopping for a while so it's good to see what you guys have been up to! How is your business going?
That is one of the great things about being a parent - our kids remind us of the magic of discovery. That special feeling they have so often that we so often forget.
