We love the Albert Einstein statue. The thing is huge, and kind of random--nestled in some trees off the sidewalk across the street from the more popular monuments.
What cracks me up about it the most (besides the size and texture) is the wear marks on the statue. The metal is worn the most on his lap, of course, then if you look close, also on the tip of his nose. I wonder why so many people feel compelled to touch his nose...
This is the outside of the Lincoln Memorial you can find on your penny. It is one of my favorite monuments at the National Mall.
