The top of the Jefferson Memorial. I love the carvings and the detail on the architecture. It is really very beautiful.

In 1912 a gift of 3,000 cherry trees from Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo to the city of Washington, honored the lasting friendship between the United States and Japan, celebrating the continued close relationship between our two cultures. They are beginning to bud. It is expected the blossoms will be in full bloom in early April, during which tourists and photographers flock here for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival. It really is so beautiful: the draping soft pinks and whites that line the lake and frame the historic buildings. It looks almost like snow on the trees, and smells incredible.

Great pictures. Can I ask in addition to all those you sent of my family, to get copies of the Korean Memorial, the top of Jefferson and the Lincoln. So as to remember this great place in which we live?
Thanks!
